A Weaver's Work is Never Done

And an assistant is a wonderful thing don't you think?

But can he thread heddles??

What a beautiful loom!

Theresa said...

You should see him manipulate those threads! Heddles to small, no problem, he'll chew a larger hole...
The Julia is a pretty loom isn't she. We'll see if she weaves as well as she looks. I suspect so.

They're always helpful until they aren't! Timber says he would be more helpful if he had "posable thumbs". He means opposable, but that's what he says.

...and some people say you can't get good help these days! Ha! They just aren't living right! Where are the "supervisors?" Are they still fighting over who wears the hat???

LA, You betcha, they have a daily squabble racing to be the first to wear that hat!
And as assistants go, this one works pretty darn cheap. We provide bed and board and as a bonus for extra duties, a little popcorn goes a long way.

I love it......he is too cute.

Hilary, It's a good thing he's cute because he is a perpetual motion machine, always into something.
14 pounds of trouble! Which Andrea, makes me shudder to think what he would be into with opposable thumbs...EVERYTHING, at once!

That's so cute! It looks like he's made a thorough investigation and is ready to get weaving in that last picture! The loom looks good, I've seen it in the brochure that came with mine. Enjoy!

Boy does he look ready to start weaving.

I can't believe how fast you are!!

Theresa said...

LOL, Julie, he does look ready to weave doesn't he. I guess I'm going to have to find a suitable shuttle. 8->

So incredibly sweet! I love when they investigate gently and I can let them heck things out. It's generally when they are alone - can you do this if there are multiples??? Does he do this often? I always wonder what is going through their heads!

My Wolf Pup is still in its box. I'm not bothering to weave on it or my Mighty Wolf until my assistant (Juneau) settles down!!

Great loom - cute weaver!!!!

How wide is your loom? I love the color.

*LOL. Usually it's peoples' cats that "help," but your helper tops that!

Jennifer, Jack is a funny dog in so many ways, he will investigate quietly, which is what he did with the loom the first time. I staged the picture session with a little bit of popcorn since I didn't catch the first time. I have a set of fleece sheep, every night hen we go up to bed, he checks on them, gives a sniff and kiss and then hops into bed with us. They are all pretty polite as a group with a new dog or object, all but Smoochie who gets so excited and loud he scares anything living.

bspinner, the loom has a 26" weaving width, which is quite generous for the items I have in mind for it.

Leigh, Surprisingly, Rodger the cat has no interest in any of the weaving stuff except to sleep on whatever bench has the sheepskin. He's an older cat though, about 10 but looking back to when he was a youngster, he wasn't much of a get into things kitty.
