I've cleaned out and pared down some of my knitting books and rather than let them collect dust on the "dead book" shelf, I would rather see them go to a good home. The rules are simple. It's first come first serve, you can take one or many but please take what you will actually use. The book is free, postage is $5.00 for the first book, $2.50 for every book after that.I offer those prices to those internationally too, no worries! Other than postage I ask that with the money you saved on buying a book ( or three) that you do something good with it. Donate a bag of kibble to a local shelter, extra cans for your local food bank, help a neighbor, do a kindness for a stranger. Let me know which books you want in the comments section, that way everyone else can see what is still available. My e-mail is
camprunamuck at
hughes dot net. I'll need your address so I can get the book ready and you'll need mine to send postage.
Here is the list of available books: If you see it in the picture but NOT on the list, it means it has been spoken for.
The Yarn Girls Guide to Beyond the Basics by Carles & Jacobs
Stitch 'N Bitch by Debbie Stoller

Good for you!!! I know the knitters out there are going to jump on this!
I need more time to knit than I need more books, but I think I'll donate to the kennel I got Bella from, anyway, from your inspiration. What a good idea!
I wouldn't mind receiving Louisa Harding's Modern Classics, and it's almost time for me to donate blood again. :)
Hold "Fitted Knits" for me while I scramble through reviews on the others!
Emily & Michelle, done and done.
Don't be shy, take as many as you like off my shelves! ;-)
Okay, I'd like the Twisted Sisters book, too.
Theresa, I'll pm you my shipping info on Ravelry - I'm at work now and can't access my personal email. And let me know where to send you the money for postage!
Hmmm, you make me think that I might need to do this too at some point. I love your blog header photo with your loom assistant. It makes me laugh every time.
I think that's exactly what I'm going to do. I have so many knitting and weaving books that are just sitting on my shevles and maybe some one else would be interested in.
Our local grocery store Weis is hosting a pet donation month. I've been there every week to try to give my share fair to pet shelters that need the extra food, litter and etc.
Can't agree more with the food banks too. Those of us who are lucky to have enough food should share with those that don't.
You are so good with your "out with the old, in with the new!" Very generous and inspiring!
Sue, hesitantly passing on knitting books til I find more yarn-y mojo!
