She had skin and dental surgery yesterday and there are six spots spread over her little mini body that have stitches.
None of this was lost on us today, Halloween. Certainly great and costly lengths to have a believable costume! :-)
Fear not, she is getting extra treats and good painkillers.
Everyone sends out this oldie for your enjoyment.
Parting shot: Waiting for a bedtime story.

Leaving that all important first comment. Spooky!
She'd probably rather have some cheap polyester costume than the resulting aches and pains, poor thing! But she obviously needed the work. Boo!
Michelle, For sure, although she is spunky as ever and eating well. I have not had to use the collar of shame. How does that work on a dog with 1.5" legs anyway?
Perfect music choice! I hope your frankenweenie feels better soon! I'm glad she is doing well. And, as always, it's great to hear from you.
Awwww, poor little girl! Should she need a cone of shame alternative, they have inflatable things for doggies with little legs. Google inflatable collar or pillow collar.
You are such a great doggie mama - your pets never go without anything they need...or want.
AND has to be tough with the other dogs wanting to know what is going on. Hope all surgery and stitchery heals well.
Lynne, The others are always terribly interested when the patient arrives home, usually still wobbly from surgery, but then they get back into their usual groove. Mandy has no qualms about lip lifting should anyone get too touchy-feelie.
Peg, I have an old inflatable one from Robin's toe of woe days. Might be too big for her and rub on those neck stitches. Sigh....
Beckster, I do try to have appropriate music! ;-) And I do have a household of little werewolf wanna be's.
Warren Zevon was an interesting man, for sure! I've always loved that song...especially at this time of year. Bless Mandy's sweet little heart!!! Hoping for a speedy recovery! (No cone of shame????)
Poor little girl. I'm sure she will feel better soon.
Do you remember the days when they sent you home with them and NO pain meds? It was horrible. Metacam is the best, we always have a bottle on hand, when you have multiple dogs you always seem to need it for someone. Give her a kiss
and a bum rub for me.
Oh Poor Mandy! That's a lot of trauma to such a little body. Hope she's feeling back to her old self soon.
Sweet little Mandy, she really has been through a lot of trauma. Soft pets. and gentle kisses for her sweet little self.
Martha, She has but still remains a pretty spunky little being!
Cindie, Her stitches look great but today I can notice that the tooth extraction area is a bit more swollen than I would wish by now. Likely she'll need a second script of Baytril to go with the Clavamox.
ElleC, I do, now they have some good ones though, or at least effective ones.
You really do have to put a cuteness warning on this post! What a little (stitched-up) dumpling! The Pat and I send kisses for whatever spot needs it most. xo
