Back in the Saddle

It is amazing how quickly three weeks goes by. You think you have all the time in the world and then Poof!, suddenly you need to get that bag packed and ready to travel.
It was a delightful few weeks though, filled with good food, good company and some typically New England weather. The boating was fun and we had a few perfect days for it, took a little wire weaving class with my Dad at the local weaving store, girls night with my Mom, complete with romantic comedy ( Love Actually) and lots of shopping!
I came in late Tuesday night and was greeted with hugs, kisses and tail wags. Wednesday while I cleaned, I had eight velcro puppies not willing to let me out of their sights for a second lest I slip away.  Gene as usual did  great job juggling all the needs of the farm and has my unconditional thanks for taking on the task annually.
I would love to say this post is picture heavy, but I didn't take a single one. The camera got left at home on the desk.
I did get some weaving in, warped up my Dad's Spring loom with a simple waffle weave kitchen towel warp and just managed to finish the three of them before I left. One stayed, two traveled and what a wonderful loom it was to use!  A sock was completed, another started and some great books consumed. I also hit a super sale and scored some really great yarns and books and once all the stuff I had to ship to myself arrives, I will get some pictures. For right now, I need to catch up with all the blog posts I've missed, dust off the saddles and bridles and hit the trails for a few days. It's good to be home!

Thank you one and all. So nice to "see" everyone after such a long time away from the blogs!

Welcome home!!!

Sounds like you had a great trip - even though New England hasn't exactly had nice weather!

Can't wait to see the fruits of your labors! (Plus I'm very curious about yarn since I think I know where you bought it!)
